The Lord spoke to Abraham and told him to move from his homeland to a new land. God promised to make of him a great nation. Abraham trusted God, journeyed to Palestine, and God blessed him. God intended to use Abraham and his descendants to bless all the nations of the world. And God did, indeed, use the Hebrew people to accomplish His purposes. Abraham trusted God, journeyed to Canaan (Palestine), and God blessed him there. Abraham followed God even though he did not know exactly where he was going or what all would be involved. It was God’s intention to use Abraham and his descendants to bless all the nations of the world. And God did, indeed, use the Hebrew people to accomplish His purposes. Abraham and Sarah showed great faith by following God to this new land.
